‘Full Swing’ 20"/26”/28” Axe Handle - Designed to Support the Toughest Jobs 

Made of American Hickory, we're proud to offer the 'Full Swing' wooden axe handle. This premium product is manufactured on a lathe. This method of manufacturing ensures consistency in shape and feel between all handles.

At 20", 26" or 28", this straight handle includes a generous palm swell. The large eye allows for shaping to fit oversized or irregular axe heads. Eye of handle measures 2.5". With the 2 3/4" wedge, the handle should accommodate up to a 2 3/4" long eye.

Grain orientation may vary between handles - anywhere from a 45-degree angle to straight.

• Partially cut kerf at 1" depth
• 1 Walnut Wedge (2 3/4")
• 2 Metal Wedges, by Taco Fasteners

Q. How to Replace an Ax Handle

A. First, remove the old handle from the ax head by drilling or cutting away any remaining material. After the head is clear, select a replacement hickory handle and make sure it fits snugly in the ax head's eye. If needed, sand the handle to ensure a snug fit. To ensure a firm grip, insert the handle into the head and then expand it inside the eye using a wooden or metal wedge. In order to shield the handle from wear, lastly trim any extra wood and coat it with linseed oil.
