FAQ 1:
How high should chainsaw rakers be?
For optimal cutting, the rakers should be set 0.025 inches lower than the cutters on the chain. The Westcoast Saw Depth Plate makes it easy to adjust to this standard, ensuring smooth and efficient cuts.

FAQ 2:
How to use a chainsaw depth plate?
To use the chainsaw depth plate, simply place it over the top of the rakers on the chain. Adjust the raker height by filing until the raker aligns with the desired depth setting, indicated by the depth plate.

Nice tool for filing rakers

This is a very easy tool to use. The instructions weren't very good, but I found a video and it showed exactly how to use it.
Once you figure it out it is very easy to check and file your chain using this gauge.

Wonderful file guide

In my area the only file guides sold at saw shops are Oregon .025 guides. This is compact and allows you to adjust the depth easily.

Good product

Takes a little getting used to, but my goodness....Not only does it enhance the performance of the saw by matching what each individual tooth needs (which most other depth gauges don't ; they take the average of multiple teeth) but using it is actually easier and faster to file down the rakers than other depth gauges. I'm buying every type they have for all my saws. 10 / 10
